SAMMWICH with the Green Panther!

Do you like sandwiches as much as i do ??

If your answer is YES, then i have the perfect place for you,  La Panthere Verte.

La Panthere Verte is 100% Vegan & Organic. Guaranteed to satisfy you, and to leave you begging for more.

The winning factor to this may just be the fact that it is located right in front of my Philosophy building. Can we say spoiled?

Once again, i became the Mayor of the place, but did end up getting the boot by someone else. ONLY due to the fact that i was on an out of country vacation and of course, there are no teleportation machines available to us just yet. I couldn’t be in two places at the same time… I know, i know i am sounding pretty nerdy right now but what can you do? Aha.

Everything is fresh, and made to order. They have the best Falafel Sandwich in town. It was the first thing i tried, and let me tell you, they weren’t lying.

Before i forget, when i say ” Sandwich” i mean a warm whole wheat pita bun filled with tahini sauce, sprouts, carrots and pickles.

Menu board & cozy setting.

They offer 4 different types of sandwiches.  The Falafel Sandwich, Tempeh Sandwich, BBQ Tofu Steak and a yummy Veggie Burger. You have the choice to accompany  your bun with a salad mix or the Soup of the Day. Can it get any better than this? I didn’t think so! The average price is 7 Canadian Loonies for one of these healthy buns, plus a happy stomach!

Ready to order the famous Falafel??

They also offer a list of smoothies, juices, organic beer on tap and bottles, and Kombucha, Energy deserts balls, Booster Shots [ Wheat grass, Maca, E3-Live]  and cookies.

This place is beyond friendly. The idea of a perfect meal, great way to meet other students, and of course Vegans. Dine in or On-The-Go, La Panthere Verte has everything you need.

I am leaving you with a picture of my beautiful plate. It consists of 3 different salads, a Quinoa Salad with a Tahini Sauce, Sweet Potatoes, Mushrooms, White Beans, Broccoli, and a Spring Mix alongside with my  Tempeh sandwich.

Tempeh Sandwich & Salad mix!

They offer two different locations in Montreal, and delivers ! So hurry up and get your SAMMWICH on pals !

You can thank me later <3

BLT. Sunshine & Pickles.

Why choose GREASY food, when you can have a slice of heaven in your mouth??

Never stare at the sun with a naked eye.

Audrey ready to take on the BLT'ness!

It’s Sunday Fun Day, woke up on my lady’s couch with the sun beaming right through me, a cup of coffee and figuring out the right way to end the weekend. It was the only thinking we had to do, and guess what we decided???? We chose AUX VIVRES,  AGAIN.  I think it’s time i put some shares in this company. I mean come on, I am always there !!!!! Aux Vivres makes living in Montreal so easy! I thank you guys!

Can you believe that none of us woke up with a killer hangover??  I call it skills baby!

After knowing what we came here for, THE BLT, we decided to go for a yummy appetizer to excite our taste buds. We started out with the “Vege Pate” plate.  Forgive my picture, the sun was beaming through the window. I was way too tired to get professional on this one. It was yummy yums. The texture of the Pate was rich, creamy and amazing. The warm bread and butter completed it. Oh, and of course the pickles! I love pickles. I can eat a jar alone. Sexy, eh?

Vege Pate Plate for Starters.

After our finger lickin’ good starter, a little plate of happiness came running out the kitchen to us. Exaggerating much aha ? No way, once you bite into one, you’ll understand my excitement.

BLT!! Coconut Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato & Mayo on Chapati bread.

PLEASE FORGIVE my picture.  BLAME the sun, my angle, long night, tired arms and naked eye. I promise to make it better for you guys next time. It’s been a long weekend hehe.

We walked out with the second half of our BLT, it was just way  too much goodness for one sitting.

Ps. I am forever thankful to all of you guys reading and enjoying my post. I do this for YOU & my delighted lips.

I can add that being a Vegan in Montreal gets pretty rewarding.

There is so much food and places to choose from. Plus different cultures to taste from, it’s really nice.

Almost feels like a part- time job. But then again, you can see that i LOVE to eat, and then again who doesn’t??

Until next time <3

Burrito me, please!

I took it upon myself to take my cousin out to Burritoville on Saturday evening. A little Girl Vs Burrito throw down.  I absolutely love that place. It is located downtown on Bishop street, near my University. A late night class and hunger call helped me discover the place. Pure bliss. The staff is lovely. The ambiance is warm. The music is random and awesome. Organic and Vegetarian/Vegan all made fresh to order. I hate to admit it but i am actually the Mayor of the place on Foursquare hehe.

The Sweet Potato Burrito is the best ! I was a little antsy about the idea of having sweet potato in a burrito, but the day i took my first bite in that big boy…Words cannot explain !!  [ Forgive my shitty Iphone picture]. Lets see, this puppy holds sweet potato, guacamole, balsamic rice, diced apples, black beans, tomatoes and GLITTER DUST. It’s crack in a wrap :p

Sweet Potato Burrito.

Lets not forget the brew & homemade raspberry lemonade!

I think it’s safe to say that i am regular there. That’s what happens when you have affordable, amazing, vegan food next to your school.

You become lazy, and skip the idea of cooking at 9pm ha.. past experiences much?

If you’re in town, do yourself a favour and take a stroll :)

My One Year Anniversary in Montreal…

Well as you all know, i left home a year ago, exactly on the 7th of October…

Was it hard?  A little, the thoughts of leaving the people you love behind, is one of the hardest thing to deal with. But then i realized, that’s why technology exist. Skype, text, emails, telephone it’s all here. All of the tools we need to keep in touch with the world is available on our fingertips, so why fret?

Anyways this isn’t some melancholy post so lets get it started shall we?

My anniversary fell on a Friday. Luckily for me my 40 hrs for the week was over. I decided to take myself out on a date downtown. I made it out all alone in the wilderness of Montreal. A meal, shopping and stroll down in the city was pretty well deserved!

I went to Aux Vivres and opted  with a Portobello mushroom Burger. Unfortunately the mushroom cap was WAY too spicy for me, i did finish it, but had to sip water here and there after my gigantic bites. It is funny to say that the Chipotle Ketchup was actually smoother than the burger.

It was a little sad sitting alone at the table but it’s comforting knowing that i’m making it on my own.

the water that saved me.

I did a little shopping down at Viva Vegan Store, i had to spoil myself a little :)

In other news, i’m a happy little girl. i am happy with where i am and what i have accomplished so far. I’m not even done yet :)

Happy One Year anniversary holly :)
