My One Year Anniversary in Montreal…

Well as you all know, i left home a year ago, exactly on the 7th of October…

Was it hard?  A little, the thoughts of leaving the people you love behind, is one of the hardest thing to deal with. But then i realized, that’s why technology exist. Skype, text, emails, telephone it’s all here. All of the tools we need to keep in touch with the world is available on our fingertips, so why fret?

Anyways this isn’t some melancholy post so lets get it started shall we?

My anniversary fell on a Friday. Luckily for me my 40 hrs for the week was over. I decided to take myself out on a date downtown. I made it out all alone in the wilderness of Montreal. A meal, shopping and stroll down in the city was pretty well deserved!

I went to Aux Vivres and opted  with a Portobello mushroom Burger. Unfortunately the mushroom cap was WAY too spicy for me, i did finish it, but had to sip water here and there after my gigantic bites. It is funny to say that the Chipotle Ketchup was actually smoother than the burger.

It was a little sad sitting alone at the table but it’s comforting knowing that i’m making it on my own.

Portobello Mushroom Burger- Aux Vivres

the water that saved me.

I did a little shopping down at Viva Vegan Store, i had to spoil myself a little :)

In other news, i’m a happy little girl. i am happy with where i am and what i have accomplished so far. I’m not even done yet :)

Happy One Year anniversary holly :)

Peas Attack !!

Dinner is always my favourite part of the day. Only because i get of work everyday at 5pm then i am off to the kitchen; My favourite place after my BED.

This morning i woke up, with dinner in mind. Of course, after a doing 10 millions things at the time during the day, i forgot what i wanted for dinner this morning. aha, believe it or not. It was only 11pm this morning, one hour before i had to leave for work, and i was already thinking of dinner. but of course being ME. i forgot WTH i had in mind.

Anyways, as you can see, this is what i ended up doing. Mashed Red Potatoes, Hummus [ Addicted], Gardein’s Beefless Tips Sauteed in an Asian Blend Mixed Veggies, and Sweet Peas. [ Sudden Craving] .

It came out purdy freaking good. i don’t know for some reasons, my taste buds were asking for Sweet Peas. trippy

For the Mashed Potatoes i used, Tofutti Cream Cheese & Earth Island’s Vegenaise . I cannot LIVE without my Vegenaise, it’s like my “Little Black Book” .. not sure if that was a legit comparison but it will do aha.  So i boiled the potatoes yadi-yada, mashed them up real good, added a spoon full of Toffuti‘s Cream Cheese and 2 of Vegenaise. Whipped them up together and added some mixed herbs on top and Voila! The Mashed Potatoes were ready to GO!

I used the last amount i had of my Gardein’s Beefless Tips [SHO GOOD]. and heat ‘em up in Vegan margarine. For some reasons, i don’t like cooking the Tips‘ in Olive Oil. Anyways, afterwards i mixed them with some Asian, Vegetable mix [Green Beans, Water Chestnuts, Corn, Mushrooms, Onions] i had laying in the fridge. and added some herbs and seasoning. and there the deed was done. Moist, Cooked, Tasty & Splendid!  The plate looked better without the Peas, but i couldn’t resit them hehe.

So ladies & gents, that was my COOKING-RECAP.. try it out for yourself? This weekend i’m going to make Cashew Cheese, and Seitan :) #CookingAdventure

Until then <3
