There comes a day where you just don’t feel like being in front of the stove for too long. I love cooking and spending time in the kitchen from soaking beans to chopping vegetables and all, but sometimes, I get lazy and just want to keep things easy.
Here is an easy wrap I made this week. Preparation time? Not even 20 minutes.
So here’s what you’ll need.
-Half a cup of Spinach
-1 Wheat Wrap [I used a Stone Ground Wheat Pita]
-1 Head of Broccoli
- Hummus Spread of your choice
-1 Tomato
I told you it would be easy.
I steamed the spinach for about 10 minutes along with the broccoli. I like the taste of steamed vegetables. It’s the fastest to cook and easiest way to keep all of the nutrients, plus I just love the crunching sound of broccoli!
Once your vegetables are steamed and tomato sliced, it’s time to add your hummus spread, I used a Roasted Red Pepper Hummus spread for my wrap. Spread the hummus as much as you want then add your vegetables!
Wrap it in and Voila! IT’S A WRAP! Easy, healthy and flavourful! I added a little Sriracha sauce to seal the deal. As for a final bite, I took a banana and sliced it in the plate. I enjoy eating cold wraps during the summer, they’re not too heavy and hot. They’ve become the perfect meal.
Enjoy!

Now my cooking skills are not as great as my drawing skills, but there you have it folks; Vegan Pizza Day. Founded by QuarryGirl & Chicago’s Teese Vegan Cheese company last year, Vegan Pizza Day soon became the buzz in the Vegan community. Truthfully, it’s become one of my favourite days in the year! A day where Vegan pizza is cherished, devoured and appreciated.

Why, Hello!
It has been a while since we have last spoken. I hope the New Year has been taking good care of you as it’s been for me.
Here is a little recap of things…
I moved back home to Atlanta, Georgia. Montreal was a great experience, I met a lot of great people, made some travels in between, experienced Montreal like a tourist before making it my home to stay. I went to some of the festivals it had to offer, i ate some great vegan food all around, and challenged myself on living in the city. I learned a lot about myself, and discovered that there is a lot more to life than the simple routine we set ourselves in every day. I can happily say that I am a better and stronger person today. Leaving home a year and a half ago was honestly… Bold. Was i scared? No, because i was ready to embark in a new journey. But because we are humans, a little fear was indeed in play. Until this day, I don’t have a concrete reason as to why i have left, but i will tell you this now, i don’t regret it one bit! I love my country. Canada is a beautiful place but with where I am in life right now, home with my family is where my heart lies. I am very happy to be back to Georgia, It’s been about a month and a week now, and i couldn’t be any happier!
I ate a lot of food in Montreal, some i was able to share with you in this blog, which was the reason why i started it. I wanted to keep myself busy for a little while. After enrolling and being accepted to school, the time i had in my hands became a little scarce, and the site sort of went downhill.
I want to thank all of you that stayed and clicked around. For a little side project i started a year ago, i was suprised to attain over 1800 views, as of today.
Now that i am back, there is a lot of things i want to do differently with this blog. Yes, I will continue to post about my eats and this time from Atlanta, and share some of the recipes that i have and made. The Traveling Pink Lips is back and i plan on making it a full movement!
From eats to informations, events, environmental issues, DIY, books & product reviews and last but not least a little bit of my nerdy side will too part take of this site.
I am excited, and i hope that you are too.
I welcome all of you Vegans/ Vegetarians & Non/ Vegans/ Vegetarians , & even more the Curious along this ship.
I am ready to sail this puppy to a new land!
I hope you can find some things that will relate and help you. I am open to any questions, help and concerns you may have and what you’d like to see!
Veganism is not an overnight process. I am a few years in and i continue to learn something new everyday.
I WANT to prove to you of how tasty, and easy it is. I am going to share some of the things i love and know about Veganism.
Perhaps, I can challenge you to take a step IN. Dare?!
Welcome Aboard!
