Late for breakfast? That’s okay, Highland Bakery has got you covered for brunch! I like to start my day off strong, from flax seed millet oatmeal to a good tofu scramble, I make sure to fill my stomach with a perfect morning kick ^^

Tofu Scramble & SOYsage.

Seasoned tofu with a mix of veggies [ zucchinis, squash, tomatoes, mushrooms] potatoes and a side of SOYsage. YUM! Since I usually scramble my tofu all the way, it was nice to have it a different way, cubed.

The tofu was seasoned to perfection. The SOYsage were good. I usually don’t go with “fake meats” but I thought i’d try it, after seeing it on the menu. While Highland Bakery is not a Vegan establishment, it does offer some options for us! Talk about a win, eh? The potatoes were awesome and I fell in love with spinach all over again. How can one say no to a mouth full of greens? The service was great. I gladly enjoyed my first visit. Highland Bakery offers 3 different locations, Old Fourth Ward, Midtown and Buckhead. I  myself went to the one in Old Fourth Ward. Inman Park area is one of my favourite neighbourhood in Atlanta. You will find me there a quite much.

My Pizza Is A Vegetable!

Village Pizza Co. located in Cabbagetown, Atlanta.

Everyone loves pizza! I love pizza. I won’t go as far to say that pizza is a vegetable, but  I will say that MY pizza  is 100% vegetable. Aha and that’s what I call vegan!

I have been hearing a lot about Village Pizza Co. and the Village Vegan Deluxe pie that I decided it was time to take a look and see what the buzz was all about! I took my friend Loren with me and we both agreed that it was time to attack this pie! *No violence was involved in time of the attack, just a happy ending!

The Village Vegan Deluxe Pie consists of onions, spinach, green peppers, mushrooms, soy cheese, Daiya mozzarella, soy pepperonis and soy sausages. I personally didn’t like the soy sausages they used. It was a litte mushy, and not as consistent as far as texture goes, but I did like the soy pepperonis. I was happy to see that they used Daiya Mozzarella along with the soy cheese. I am sucker for Daiya’s cheese!

DRUMROLL…

This  my friend is what I call GREATNESS! The crust had a garlic kick to it, both cheeses melted perfectly together, the flavours complimented well and surprisingly enough, (due from past experiences) the soy pepperoni wasn’t too overwhelming.

100% VEGAN and DELICIOUS. I give this pie an 8 !

I think it’s time for a second round, who’s interested?!??
